Privacy Policy

From business owners:

• Business name, address, phone, category (from public sources)
• Contact email, website, hours, and services offered (if you submit through the verify flow)
• Owner identity via Clerk authentication (email address) if you claim your listing
• Payment information via Stripe if you purchase Premium (we do not store card numbers)

From directory visitors:

• Name, phone, email, and message when you use a business's contact form
• Anonymized page-view analytics via Vercel Analytics (no cookies, no personal identifiers)
• Browser/device summary (e.g. "Mobile · iOS · Safari") attached to contact form submissions

• Display business listings in our directory
• Route contact form submissions to the appropriate business
• Send verify links, onboarding emails, and Premium upgrade offers to business owners
• Process Premium subscription payments via Stripe
• Understand aggregate site traffic to improve the Service

If you are a listed business, we may contact you by email or SMS about your listing (verify link, onboarding, Premium upgrade offers). You can opt out any time by replying STOP to any SMS or emailing support@clevelandakronpros.com.

We follow TCPA and CAN-SPAM requirements. We do not send marketing communications to consumers who submit contact forms · those messages go only to the business you contacted and to us for delivery confirmation.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share the minimum necessary information with:

• Business owners: contact form submissions go to the business you contacted
• Clerk: for authentication if you sign in
• Convex: our database provider (data hosted in AWS US regions)
• Vercel: our hosting provider (page analytics + serving)
• Stripe: for payment processing if you purchase Premium
• Resend: for outbound transactional email delivery

We use Clerk cookies for authenticated sessions (only if you sign in). Vercel Analytics tracks aggregate page views without cookies or personal identifiers. We do not use third-party advertising tracking.

You may:

• Request removal of your business listing at any time
• Access, correct, or delete personal information you have submitted
• Cancel a Premium subscription and request a refund per our Refund Policy
• Opt out of marketing communications

Business listings are retained while the directory is operational. Contact form submissions are retained for up to 3 years for support and audit purposes, then deleted. Account records are deleted within 30 days of an account closure request.

We use industry-standard security controls: HTTPS everywhere, authenticated access to admin functions, secrets stored in encrypted environment configuration, and no direct database exposure. No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
